The Interventional Pain Management Center at Chilton Memorial Hospital is a multidisciplinary pain center dedicated to treating individuals suffering from pain. Designed to restore patients to a stronger physical and mental state, our program utilizes diagnostic, curative and therapeutic state-of-the-art procedures that significantly reduce and eliminate pain.

With physicians credentialed in pain management, our center is here to help you get back to a life without pain. Specializing in back and neck pain, our physicians offer numerous pain management options:
  • Nerve blocks
  • Cryo analgesia
  • Radio frequency rhizotomy
  • Subcutaneous infusion pumps and catheters

Pain Management Center Physicians
Andrew Topf, M.D.
Board certified in Anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Topf is the Director of The Pain Management Center at Chilton Memorial Hospital. He received his Medical Degree from SUNY-Health Science Center at Syracuse. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and one in Anesthesiology at New England Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. He received his fellowship training in Pain Management at St. Lukes - Roosevelt Hospital at Columbia University School of Medicine. Over his career, he has received numerous honors and awards and has had his research published in Anesthesiology and the Annals of Internal Medicine.
Eric S. Aberbach, M.D.
Board certified in pain management and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Aberbach is Chairman of Anesthesiology at Chilton Memorial Hospital. He received his Medical Degree at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. He received his fellowship training in Pain Management at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center.
Oleg M. Shulman, M.D.
Board certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiologists, Dr. Shulman received his medical degree from Riga Medical Institute in Riga, Latvia. He completed his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston Massachusetts. Dr. Shulman was a Clinical Fellow in Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School and while in Latvia held the position of Assistant Professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Latvia School of Medicine. Dr. Shulman has a special interest in Pain Management.
Joseph Scro, M.D.
Board certified in pain by the American Board of Pain Medicine and board certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Scro received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School, UMDNJ, Newark, New Jersey. He completed his Residency in Anesthesiology from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. His special interest is Pain Management.
